The Constitutional Court declares amparo appeals submitted by nine of the sentenced in the case against the 1 October leaders and rejects the interim suspension of the sentence

Breaches:

The court accepts for consideration the appeal against the Supreme Court ruling presented by Turull, Bassa, Rull, Forn, Forcadell, Sànchez, Cuixart, Borràs and Mundó. The high court refuses to provisionally suspend the sentence, meaning that it does not allow the prisoners to be released from prison pending a decision on the appeal. Meanwhile, Junqueras and Romeva wait for a decision on the recusal they presented against the Supreme Court judges who tried them for the 1 October referendum.
