Breaches:
The High Court of Justice of Catalonia condemns for disobedience the CUP member of Parliament Pau Juvillà for not having removed the yellow ribbons from his office in the Lleida Town Hall during the electoral period of the general elections of 28 April 2019. The Lleida District Electoral Board had ordered its withdrawal. The Court considers that Juvillà disobeyed ‘defiantly’ and ‘persistently’ and openly opposed the prescriptions of the electoral boards. Apart from the disqualification, Juvillà is also sentenced to pay a fine. In February 2024, the Spanish Supreme Court dismisses Juvillà’s appeal and thus uphelds the sentence.
