The National Police arrest four minors during the protests on Via Laietana following the conviction of the pro-independence leaders

Breaches:

During the mass protests following the conviction of the pro-independence leaders the National Police arrest Guillem Padilla, Ivan, Sarah and Roc, accusing them of public disturbance and attacking law enforcement officers. On 5 November, Guillem Padilla files a complaint against eight National Police officers for possible crimes of torture and minor injuries, as well as crimes against moral integrity and against constitutional guarantees, in relation to the treatment received during his arrest. On 16 September 2020, the Examining Magistrate’s Court no. 11 dismisses the complaint, arguing that the injuries suffered were consistent with having been arrested. On 14 January 2021, after the Provincial Court of Barcelona has thrown out his appeal, Guillem Padilla will file an appeal for protection before the Constitutional Court.
