The Provincial Court of Barcelona agrees to open summary proceedings in the case of Roger Español, who lost an eye during the police charges of the 1 October referendum at the Ramon Llull Institute in Barcelona

Breaches:

The Court considers, with regards to the case of Roger Español, that, from a strictly procedural point of view, its possible classification as a crime of causing malicious injury should not be excluded. The Court’s decision comes after the Seventh Examining Magistrate’s Court of Barcelona, which is investigating the police charges of 1 October in Barcelona, dismissed the request and Òmnium Cultural filed an appeal.
