The Supreme Court accepts for consideration the appeal against the High Court of Justice of Valencia’s overturning of the Decret d’usos lingüístics

The Intersindical Valenciana trade union had brought an appeal before the Supreme Court against the High Court of Justice of Valencia’s ruling overturning 11 articles of the decree regulating the use of Spanish and Catalan in the government of Valencia. The PP had filed an appeal against the decree. The articles in question prioritised Valencian Catalan over Spanish in public administration, communication among public employees, communication from public employees to the general public and communication and contracts with suppliers, among other areas.
