Breaches:
The young men Ibrahim Afkir and Charaf Fadlaoui are charged with the alleged crimes of public disturbance, attacking authority, injuries and causing damages, as a result of having thrown a stone at a van of the Regional Operative Resources Area (ARRO) of the Mossos d’Esquadra in Girona and wounding the driver and the co-driver. This took place during the protests against the ruling on the politicians involved in the Catalan independence process. The Prosecutor’s Office is demanding nine years imprisonment, their expulsion from the State once they have served two-thirds of the sentence, a fine of 7,000 euros each, and a joint compensation of 900 euros. The Catalan Government, which is acting as private prosecutor, is asking for three and a half years in prison for the accused. The young men have been in provisional prison for 9 months.
