The case against 48 of the 52 people investigated for the Tsunami Democràtic roadblock in Salt is closed

Breaches:

Also closed was the case regarding the 12 people under investigation in Perpignan for the crime of obstructing a public road, a crime that carried a penalty of a fine. The Third Examining Magistrate’s Court of Girona closes the case against the 48 people accused of the roadblock on the AP-7 in Salt, organised by Tsunami Democràtic, which took place in November 2019, for alleged crimes of public disturbance. The judge considers that it has not been sufficiently proven that the defendants threw blunt objects or burned containers. Shortly thereafter, the Prosecutor’s Office appealed the closing of 22 of the 48 accusations to the Provincial Court of Girona. However, the investigation at the Fourth Examining Magistrate’s Court of Figueres for the roadblock in La Jonquera filed against 196 people accused of crimes of public disturbance and causing damage is still ongoing.
