Breaches:
The Central Electoral Board rules in favour of the PP, Ciudadanos and VOX and declares that Oriol Junqueras has lost his status as MEP as a result of having been convicted by the Supreme Court for the crimes of sedition and embezzlement. Shortly before, on 19 December 2019, the Court of Justice of the European Union had ruled that Junqueras became an MEP the moment the European Parliament election results were announced. Junqueras will appeal the Central Electoral Board’s decision before the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court.
