The Constitutional Court declares void and unconstitutional the main points of the resolution on parliament’s regulations approved on 5 July by the Parliament of Catalonia but nullified by the Constitutional Court

Breaches:

The Spanish Government presented an appeal of unconstitutionality against the resolution, which reiterated the objectives of the resolution on the start of the independence process for Catalonia, already declared unconstitutional in a sentence by the Constitutional Court ruling 259/2015. It is the first political resolution of the 12th legislature of Parliament annulled by the court. However, on 16 October and 28 November 2019, it accepted and shall process the appeals for protection submitted by the PSC and Ciudadanos respectively, against the agreement made in the Bureau of Parliament.
