The court concludes the investigation against the mayor of Reus and the pro-independence spokesmen in the council for having signed a manifesto

Breaches:

The Examining Magistrate’s Court of Reus concludes the investigation against Reus city mayor Carles Pellicer, the municipal spokespersons Montserrat Vilella (PDeCAT), Noemí Llauradó (ERC), Mariona Quadrada (CUP) and Jordi Cervera (Ara Reus) for alleged crimes of inciting hatred and against the moral integrity of the Spanish National Police. They are under investigation for having signed a manifesto condemning police violence and calling for the Spanish police officers posted to Catalonia for the ‘Operation Copernicus’ to leave. The mayor and the four spokesmen submit appeals to the Court of Tarragona asking for the case to be filed, while the Prosecutor’s Office agrees not to press charges. On the other hand, the court files the case against CUP councillors Marta Llorens and Oriol Ciurana and two other residents reported by the National Police and Ciudadanos.
