The El País photojournalist Albert Garcia is acquitted

Breaches:

The Eighth Criminal Court of Barcelona acquits El País photojournalist Albert Garcia, who had been arrested during the protests against the sentence of the leaders of the 1 October in Plaça Urquinaona in Barcelona. The prosecutor accused Garcia of the crime of attacking the authority and of a minor crime of causing injury. Although the prosecutor initially asked for 9 months in prison and a fine, he lowered his request on the day of the trial to a crime of resisting authority and a minor offence of injury and simply asked for a fine. The judge acquits Garcia on the understanding that there are serious doubts that what is stated in the indictment really happened.
