The European Court once again lifts the immunity of Puigdemont, Comín and Ponsatí, after they had recovered it temporarily

Breaches:

The General Court of the European Union decides to dismiss the request filed by Carles Puigdemont, Antoni Comín and Clara Ponsatí requesting their immunity be returned while their appeal against the European Parliament’s suplicatory procedure is being resolved. The court argues the precautionary measures are not necessary, on the one hand, because all three still have immunity to travel to the Strasbourg plenary session and, on the other hand, because the European Arrest Warants issued by the Supreme Court have been suspended due to the preliminary objections raised by Llarena before the Court of Justice of the European Union, as argued by the State Attorney’s Office, so that ‘there is nothing to suggest that the judicial authorities in Belgium or the authorities of some other Member State may carry out the European Arrest Warrants.’ All three appealed the decision to the Court of Justice.
