The National Court accepts the complaint against the members of the government and summons them to testify

Breaches:



The Examining Magistrate of Spain’s National High Court Carmen Lamela accepts the complaint by the Prosecutor’s Office against President Carles Puigdemont and other members of the Government of Catalonia (Oriol Junqueras, Joaquim Forn, Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva , Clara Ponsatí, Josep Rull, Antoni Comín, Dolors Bassa, Meritxell Borràs, Lluis Puig, Carles Mundó, Meritxell Serret and Santi Vila) and adds it to the case already opened against Jordi Sànchez, Jordi Cuixart, the Mossos d’EsquadraMajor Josep Lluís Trapero and Mossos d’Esquadra lieutenant Teresa Laplana. Lamela summons Puigdemont and the ministers to testify between 2 and 3 September. Some of the defendantsappeal against the proceedings because they do not consider Lamela to be the competent judge to hear the case. However, Lamela confirms the decision regarding competence on 14 November.
