The Prosecutor’s Office files a complaint against Torrent and three members of the Bureau of Parliament for allowing votes on self-determination and the Monarchy

Breaches:

The Prosecutor’s Office files a complaint before the High Court of Justice of Catalonia against former president of the Bureau of Parliament Roger Torrent (ERC) and three former PMs Josep Costa (JxCat), Eusebi Campdepadrós (JxCat) and Adriana Delgado (ERC) for an alleged crime of disobedience. The Prosecutor’s Office considers that they disobeyed the Constitutional Court by allowing a vote during the plenary session on a resolution of the CUP that reaffirmed the right to self-determination (12 November 2019) and a resolution of JxCat, ERC and the CUP where the Monarchy was condemned and the right to self-determination was defended (26 November 2019). The complaint comes more than one year after the Constitutional Court had urged the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the Bureau for this reason.
