The Prosecutor’s Office is demanding between 3 and 5 years in prison for four demonstrators involved in blocking the Ronda de Dalt motorway during the 8 November strike

Breaches:

The Prosecutor’s Office accuses the demonstrators Francisco Garrobo, Moisès Fernández, Josep Maria and Lluís, all members of the CDRs (Committees for the Defence of the Republic), of the crimes of serious public disturbance with the aggravating factor of recidivism, and crimes against traffic safety for participating in the four-hour blockade of the Ronda de Dalt motorway in Barcelona within the context of the 8 November general strike. Francisco Garrobo was also a member of the Municipal Secretariat of the CUP of Barcelona. The strike was called by the Intersindical-CSC in protest against the application of article 155 and the imprisonment of the pro-independence leaders. The trial is set to begin on 21 September 2020 at the Provincial Court of Barcelona and the verdict will be heard on the 23rd.
