The Prosecutor’s Office files charges against Carme Forcadell and five former members of Parliament (Lluís Corominas, Lluís Guinó, Anna Simó, Ramona Barrufet and Josep Nuet). The case is admitted by the Admissions Chamber of the Supreme Court’s Criminal Chamber, whilePablo Llarena is named as the examining magistrate for the case and will be taking on other related criminal cases. Forcadell and Anna Simó appeal against this procedure to the Criminal Court because they do not consider the Supreme Court to be the competent court in this case. This appeal is dismissed on 18 December by the Chamber, and Forcadell and Simó submit an appeal for protection to the Constitutional Court. On 31 October, Llarena summons them to testify on 2 and 3 November.
