The Supreme Court confirms the conclusion of the summary trial dictated by Llarena and declares the trial against the leaders of 1 October referendum open

Breaches:

Thethe Supreme Court Chamber which is to judge the case against the leaders of the October 1 referendum confirms the conclusion of the summary trial issued by Pablo Llarena, as requested by the Prosecutor’s Offic, the State Attorney’s Office and the popular prosecution (VOX). Most of the defense asked for the summary trial to be revoked to carry out further proceedings. The Chamber also declares open the trial for rebellion against the former vice-president Oriol Junqueras, former government advisers Joaquim Forn, Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva, Josep Rull and Dolors Bassa, against the former president of the Parliament Carme Forcadell, the former president of the ANC Jordi Sànchez and against the president of Òmnium Jordi Cuixart; for disobedience against former councilors Meritxell Borràs, Carles Mundó and Santi Vila, against former members of the Bureau Lluís Corominas, Lluís Guinó, Anna Simó, Ramona Barrufet and Joan Josep Nuet and against the former president of the CUP parliamentary group Mireia Boya; and for embezzlement of public funds against Junqueras, Forn, Turull, Romeva, Rull and Bassa. All of them submit letters of ‘declination of jurisdiction,’ that is, they allege that the trial cannot be held because the Supreme Court is not the competent court in this case.
