The trial begins against Dani Gallardo and Elsa Vikki, two of those arrested during the protests against the sentence of the leaders of the 1 October referendum in Madrid

The Provincial Court of Madrid begins the first session of the trial against the young people Dani Gallardo and Elsa Vikki for the alleged crimes of public disturbance, attacking authority and causing minor injuries during the demonstrations in Madrid against the sentence of the leaders of the independence movement in October 2019. The Prosecutor’s Office is demanding 6 years in prison for Gallardo and 2 years in prison for Elsa Vikki for the crime of public disturbance. The Prosecutor’s Office is also requesting a compensation of 3,524.67 euros to be paid to the Town Hall of Madrid for allegedly causing damages to public property. The second session, which includes a third defendant, will be held on 17 November and the trial is pending sentence.
